Tropical Kale Smoothie

TFFJ students at the Far Rockaway Educational Campus, working alongside TFFJ’s Jessenia Preciado, developed this original Tropical Kale Smoothie. This bold, refreshing blend highlights the produce they grow and the flavors they love.

Creamy, fruity, and just the right amount of sweet, the smoothie balances vibrant tropical notes with the earthiness of fresh kale.

After perfecting the recipe, they shared it across the Far Rockaway Educational Campus and with students at Scholars Academy—proving that when youth take the lead in the kitchen, good things spread.

Ingredients (TFFJ Produce Highlighted 🌿)

  • 4-5 large leaves of kale 🌿
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 1 can of pineapple chunks
  • 2 bananas
  • Honey to taste

Directions

1) Blend all the ingredients together until you get a nice light green smoothie mix.
2) If you would like it to taste fruitier, you can add a few more pineapple chunks.

Enjoy!
