Julio is the Senior Farmer-Educator at TFFJ. Before joining TFFJ, he worked as a Senior Nutrition Educator with BronxWorks SNAP-Ed, providing nutrition education to communities across the Bronx. He is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Public Health Nutrition at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy. Julio is passionate about education, food justice, and community advocacy. He believes in the power of education to empower communities and is committed to helping New Yorkers build healthier relationships with food while promoting greater access to nutrition and health resources.
At TFFJ, he is excited to combine his background in nutrition and public health with hands-on farm education and continue learning alongside the communities he serves. Outside of work, Julio has a passion for acting and loves traveling around the world, exploring new cultures and traditions, and experiencing the different foods that bring people and communities together.
