Harrison graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in 2013, before doing further coursework at NC State. At these institutions, he gained hands-on experience and insight into both soil-based and vertical hydroponic farming techniques. Since then he has accumulated over six years of experience building vertical farms by collaborating with TFFJ’s partners to determine their production needs and then meeting them by designing and installing indoor vertical hydroponic systems, and then managing the roll out of the farm as a whole.
