Dominic holds a BA in American Studies from Colby College and brings hands-on experience across a range of food production and agricultural systems to TFFJ. He spent time at Tivoli Mushrooms developing practical skills in small-scale fungal cultivation and worked closely with farmers and growers through his organizing role at the Hudson Valley Young Farmers Coalition, supporting advocacy and programming for the region’s agricultural community. These experiences grew out of a longstanding commitment to food sovereignty and food security — a thread running through his academic work, his organizing, and his community-based practice.
Dominic is drawn to TFFJ’s model of putting production directly in students’ hands and sees hydroponic farming as a powerful vehicle for building lasting food equity in New York City. When he’s not at the farm, you can find him foraging in the woods, tending to native plants, or exploring the edible and medicinal species of the Hudson Valley.
