Marcy Warren

Marcy Warren grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University, initially aiming for a degree in dental hygiene. However, after practical experience, she realized it wasn’t her calling and shifted her focus, ultimately earning a B.A. and moving to New York City to pursue her dream job in the fashion industry.

In New York, Marcy began her career in men’s wear, which eventually led to a position in women’s fashion. She traveled extensively for sales, participating in fashion marts in Chicago and Dallas, as well as working in the NYC showroom. It was during this time that she met her husband, whom she married in 1989. They have been married for 35 years, have one son, and reside in both Manhattan and Watermill.

Marcy’s involvement in fundraising began at the age of 27. The impact of the AIDS epidemic on the fashion industry motivated her to co-host her first non-profit event for The Bailey House, which provides supportive services for people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses.

Soon after, she co-hosted the first Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) fundraiser in the Hamptons, alongside prominent figures from the fashion industry (Kenny Zimmerman, from the then fashion house Kenar, Jennifer Ruff, Linda Evangelista, Frederic Fekkai). She continued her philanthropic efforts by fundraising for her son’s schools (Columbia Grammar and Prep, Stephen Gaynor), and joining the parents’ board at Syracuse University, where he attended college.

Upon leaving the fashion industry, Marcy dedicated herself to animal rescue fundraising, a passion rooted in her childhood experiences on her uncle Jack’s horse farm in New Hope, PA. In 2010, she helped establish the first charity event for the Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons and remains actively involved with the organization.

Marcy has also supported the Amaryllis Horse Rescue, co-hosting a major fundraising event in 2008 with Steven Klein, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sale Johnson, Ahmad Rashad, and Madonna. Her efforts raised significant funds and saved numerous horses from slaughter.

Since 2000, Marcy has been a host committee member for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for blood cancer research, initiated by Denise Rich. She also serves on the host committee for The City of Hope, a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. In 2017, while president of Just Drew Clothing, she organized a fashion show for their ladies’ luncheon.

Over the past 15 years, Marcy has helped save and rehome hundreds of dogs and cats. She has hosted events for Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue, Last Chance Animal Rescue, and has recently joined the board of ARF in the Hamptons. She currently networks between 10-20 different rescues across the country to foster and adopt dogs.

Marcy is also a member of the Central Park Women’s Committee, which raises funds to maintain Central Park’s beauty. This year, she joined Simone Martel for Summer Fest to benefit the Southampton Art Center.

In addition to her philanthropic work, Marcy is an amateur photographer with several exhibits to her name. She previously owned the Sirene Gallery in Southampton, NY, and has been involved in the restaurant business. She and her husband were founders of Ocean Drive Magazine in Miami. From 2014 to 2020, she was president of JUST DREW, a clothing company started by her son. Marcy is also involved in navigating two upcoming movie deals.

She enjoys traveling, skiing, riding horses, swimming, and reading and finds joy in her three rescue dogs, a parrot named Larrybird, a horse, and a five-year-old carnival goldfish named Gilmore. She has yet to conquer Pickleball.
