Connor Gorsira

Connor is a food enthusiast with a passion for growing produce hydroponically. He received his Bachelor of Science in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Florida before embarking on a farming career in Italy in 2016. He gained practical farming experience working on biodynamic, permaculture, and urban farms in several European countries through a non-monetary work exchange program. Before joining Teens for Food Justice, he managed a 20,000 square foot commercial-scale hydroponic greenhouse in Brooklyn, where he mastered the art of growing herbs and leafy greens using nutrient film technique. With his knowledge of indoor farming and modern food production methods, Connor aims to create a culture of sustainability, wellness, and advocacy in low-income, food-insecure communities.
