  • Scholars’ Academy is TFFJ’s second high-capacity indoor hydroponic farm in Far Rockaway, Queens.
  • The TFFJ farm at Scholars’ Academy is a part of the larger Far Rockaway Farm Hub, which will include four high-capacity hydroponic farms that provide fresh and accessible healthy food on the Rockaway peninsula.
  • At least 150 Scholars’ Academy students will be actively engaged in STEM-focused curricular day and health, nutrition, and food justice advocacy afterschool programming, and provide fresh, healthy produce for daily lunch service to the cafeteria.

I am thrilled to announce the launch of The TFFJ Farm at Scholars’ Academy in Far Rockaway. This marks a significant step in our mission to empower young minds to cultivate not just crops, but a sustainable future. The TFFJ Farm at Scholars’ is the second of a four-farm Farm Hub in Far Rockaway, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Together, we are radically transforming food access in the Rockaway Peninsula, sowing the seeds of positive change and nourishing communities.
